About

More than 40% of girls at Stuart receive financial aid and the average gift award is over $18,000. Will you help us #EmbraceEquity on International Women's Day and support the education of our Stuart Girls?

Every year on March 8, the world celebrates International Women's Day (IWD), a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements of and championing the needs of girls and young women across the world. On this day, the needs of girls, including their access to quality education, is front and center.

The Stuart community, though, does this every day.

Here, within our green brick walls, the needs of each and every girl are known. We challenge our girls to be change makers, support them as risk takers, and remind them that they are in charge of their own future. Our girls have access to the latest technology, the most challenging courses, and the best opportunities to help them grow each day in both their educational journeys and personal lives.

But, we need your help.

Over 40% of our students receive financial aid in order to access their Stuart education. On average, students receive over $18,000 as part of our financial aid program, and for many this aid can mean the difference in affording their Stuart education.

Your support means that more girls can be a part of the life-changing experience of a Stuart education.

They can continue to grow and thrive in an environment that was made for them, and they can become the unstoppable women we know they will be. This International Women's Day, help make a Stuart education possible for even more girls and give to the Stuart Fund for Financial Aid.

Why All-Girls?

For this year's International Women's Day, the theme of #EmbraceEquity challenges us to think of the ways we can make access not only equal, but equitable. Creating these opportunities for all girls to have access to an all-girls education is one way we can celebrate International Women's Day.

But, why all girls?

The International Coalition of Girl's Schools shares their top ten reasons for attending an all girls school.

10. INSPIRATIONAL ENVIRONMENT: Girls’ schools champion the education needs of girls.

9. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: Girls’ schools create a culture of achievement.

8. BUILDS SELF-CONFIDENCE: At girls’ schools, a girl occupies every role.

7. DEVELOPS LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Girls’ schools empower students to become bold leaders.

6. SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING & MATH (STEM): Girls’ schools champion the educational needs of girls as a group underrepresented in STEM majors and careers.

5. DEDICATED TO HOW GIRLS LEARN: Girls’ schools capitalize on girls’ unique learning styles.

4. HIGHER ASPIRATIONS: Girls’ school students strive for greatness.

3. EXCELLENT MENTORING: Girls’ school students are mentored by a community of peers, teachers, and school administrators.

2. PREPARES GIRLS FOR THE REAL WORLD: Girls’ schools engage students in activities that prepare them for life beyond the classroom.

1. ALLOWS GIRLS TO BE THEMSELVES: Girls’ schools provide an environment where students feel safe to express themselves and engage in an open and safe exchange of ideas.
